Chairman’s Acknowledgment

Firstly I would like to thank all members that attended the NFOL for their understanding of the situation that we was in due to the bad weather conditions that we had experienced leading up to the event.

On Wednesday 20 th August most of the site was under water and the event was at risk of not taking place. We had lost 1200 pitches inside the showground and the only land available had no water and one of the fields was across a busy main road.

Water was brought in by Tankers and a traffic management scheme was extended to give safe passage for pedestrians.

Without the determination and enthusiasm of the working party the event would not have taken place so my thanks to the team leaders and their teams.

Thanks must go to our sponsors without them the cost of the meet would have been much higher and may not have attracted the 2600 units that attended.

Further thanks to the members who illuminated their units and those joining in the Mardi Gras, the torch light procession all adding to a tremendous atmosphere.
